Connor Ritter, Hannah Steiner among winners in FNB Junior Golf Tour regular season finale
Connor Ritter fired a 4-under par 68 and Hannah Steiner shot a 79 to win the boys' and girls' 16-18-year old divisions, respectively, as the First National Bank Junior Golf Tour concluded its regular season at Wilkshire Golf Course in Bolivar on Thursday.
The top six point getters throughout the season will advance to the Tournament of Champions, which will take place at Union Country Club in Dover on Monday with a tee time of 9 a.m.
Ritter, the defending Division III state champion, shot a 68 to top Carter Wells, who carded a 1-under 71.
Carter Mishler ended up third with a 73, while Zach Dale and Colton Moore tied for fourth with 75s. Gavin Gress was sixth with a 76 and Blake Hood also earned points with a seventh-place showing of 78.
Steiner won the girls' 16-18 division with her 79, besting Autumn Rohr, Sammi Miller and Riley Schie, who all had 81s in regulation.
Rohr took second after a one-hole playoff over Miller and Schie as she parred the hole. Ashlee Garner finished fifth with an 85 and Alivia Edwards was sixth with an 86, while Brynn Harstine ended up seventh with an 87.
Chatum Courson claimed the boys' 13-15-year-old division with a 70.
Brody Foster was second with a 74 and Jack Mast ended up third with an 81. Cooper Briggs and Caleb Kline tied for fourth with 83s, while Deagan Beaber and Devon McGlothlin tied for sixth with 84s.
Lauren Brown won the girls' 13-15-year-old division with a 41.
Khoen Courson placed second with a 42 and Camryn Ianniello was third with a 47, while Julia Hancock and Jacey Hess tied for fourth with 49s and Alyxandria Leach and Sara Weaver both shot 50s to tie for sixth.
Erin Shockey won the girls' collegiate division with a 79.
Abbey Dillon and Kylie Rohr tied for second with 85s, while Allie Jurkovic finished fourth with an 86, Alexis Zimmer placed fifth with an 87, Sydney Clements was sixth with an 89 and Mackenzie Baker rounded out the field with a seventh-place showing of 98.
Colton Gress claimed the boys' 12 and under division with a sizzling nine-hole score of 36 as he topped Hayden Beaber, who was runner-up with a 42.
Chase McCauley, Dylan Pielech and Brody Sellards tied for third with 43s and Marcus Beun finished fourth with a 45, while Clark Frischen, Cash McCauley and Blaine Thompson all shot 46s to tie for seventh.
Makayla Gress shot a 47 to win the girls' 12' and under division.
