Conn's Hospitality Group to open 7th Street Cidery in downtown Springfield
The latest venture for Conn's Hospitality Group opens in downtown Springfield Friday.
The 7th Street Cidery, the first of its kind in central Illinois, will be located inside the Isaac Lindsey House at 503 S. 7th Street and boast a modern relaxed environment with a rustic urban vibe, according to Conn’s marketing director Lauren Stead.
"We noticed that there's not a lot of cider options in central Illinois, but it is becoming more popular. So within our travels, we said, 'Hey, there's cideries out there; why can't we bring this concept to central Illinois and the Midwest and really make it expand?'"

The cidery will have 20 craft beer taps, plus cider cocktails, wines, and spirits.
"We've had such great support from our community with all of the projects that we've done in the past and our future endeavors," Stead said. "So, for us to be able to give back to the community again and provide a space for people to come and enjoy, it's very rewarding and we continue to thrive off of the excitement that we get."
Conn’s Hospitality Group operations include Conn's Catering, Inn at 835, Obed and Isaac's Microbrewery, Wm. Van's Coffee, and Lil Willy's BBQ among others in Springfield, Peoria and Elkhart.
The 7th Street Cidery will be open Monday through Thursday, 4-11 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Go to www.connshg.com or www.facebook.com/7thstreetcidery for more details.
