Conor McGregor has had a rough few weeks after breaking his leg at UFC 264. Now, the notorious fighter is kicking his "big foot" back poolside with none other than Justin Bieber—and plenty of Irish whiskey, obviously.

In a seven photo set posted to Instagram on July 23, McGregor and Bieber lounge poolside with McGregor's Proper No. Twelve whiskey in hand. Though McGregor's recently-repaired leg is in a bulky cast, the Irishman looks in good spirits, laughing and lounging with his pop star pal.

Apparently, McGregor has even given himself a new nickname: Big Foot.

The MMA fighter captioned the photo set, "JB and Big Foot, we rule Beverly Hills! God bless my brother! Backed by the highest power! Huge congrats on your @balenciaga campaign and your @drewhouse [clothing line]! Can’t wait to get to the show tomorrow! Legends unite!"

Bieber also posted photos of the pool sesh to his Instagram, captioning the shots with, "Its [sic] about how you get back up."

The seemingly unlikely pair have reportedly been friends for years, with Beiber supporting McGregor as far back as 2018. Bieber was a vocal supporter of McGregor leading up to UFC 264, which ended when McGregor broke his leg, giving Dustin Poirier a TKO victory.

According to UFC president Dana White, McGregor was already injured prior to UFC 264, experiencing "chronic arthritis in both ankles" for years. McGregor also says he was aware of additional stress fractures in his leg before the fight.

But the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) recently told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that the commission was unaware of any preexisting injuries prior to the fight. If they had been, the commission asserts, McGregor would not have been able to fight.

As previously reported by Men's Health, surgeons suggest McGregor will be on crutches for at least six weeks, and it could be a full year before McGregor is in fighting shape.

But if McGregor is looking for a silver lining—you know, aside from copious downtime to hang with famous friends and sip on whiskey—here's one: Some surgeons say having a titanium leg could actually give McGregor a technical advantage when he returns to the canvas. Call it a comeback.
