Turning normal cars into rad off-roaders is popular these days, and I'm all for it. This Mercedes-Benz 220 sedan has been given the Safari treatment and a V-8 swap, and it looks totally badass. The best part? It's for sale right now on eBay Motors.

This old Mercedes has been treated to a mild lift, and had its fenders cut to fit a set of big meaty tires wrapped around American Racing wheels. There are a bunch of cool decals on the car as well, including a "Peking to Paris" shield on the front bumper and a Nurburgring outline on the rear fender. Fortunately, most of the original chrome trim-including the massive grille-remains in place.

The seller doesn't go into much detail regarding the V-8 under the hood, saying only that it's a Chevy small block. It sends power to the rear wheels via an unspecified automatic transmission. Look closely, and you'll see side-exit exhaust pipes poking out underneath either rear door.

This V-8 swapped Mercedes is currently up for bidding on eBay in Mascotte, Florida with an opening price of $7,888 and no reserve. The car's not perfect-there are some loose wires in the cabin, and much of the weather stripping is dried out. But for that kind of money, you're likely getting one hell of a driving experience.
