“Legally, mobilization can be either partial or general. A public upsurge may be expected, the kind that we saw at the beginning of the war – people joined the territorial defense (TD) en masse, created units. I know that there were a lot of people with hunting weapons and permits for them, only with devices for shooting rubber bullets – they all joined the TD and other units.”

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, President Zelenskyy declared martial law and a general mobilization. The current regime will last until November 2022, after being extended several times due to Russia’s ongoing full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
