Conservative judges let personal religious views bias court's opinions

Recuse is what judges should do when they have a potential to profit from their decision or if there could be bias in their decisions. I say this in relation to the Supreme Court's recent opinions on Roe v. Wade and Joe Kennedy praying at mid-field after Bremerton football games.

The three latest far-right judges appointed to the Supreme Court should have stepped aside and recused themselves in these two cases because their religious beliefs, to them, outweighed the Constitution. We all have the same freedoms bestowed upon us. And separation of church and state are one of them. As judges, they should have stood up for this right. They did not! Instead they took us back to the dark ages.

These decisions should be put on hold and revisited, with these three judges recusing themselves. They were put in in place by Trump to do exactly what they did! It is not fair to the American people to have bias judges that don’t respect our rights.

Robert Hamre, Bremerton
