Constantine Library summer program to feature virtual visit by author Wade Rouse
Michigan author Wade Rouse will be a guest at Constantine Township Library, through a virtual visit, at 6 p.m. June 21.
Community members may gather for the event at the library or call (269) 435-7957 for a virtual connection link.
Rouse is a prolific author. He writes under two names. Titles under Wade Rouse are humorous memoirs. Titles under his pen name, Viola Shipman — in honor of his grandmother — are novels, including “The Recipe Box," which he will discuss during the library visit.
Kathy Messner, program director, suggested Rouse for several reasons: he lives in Michigan during summer and because the Viola Shipman novels have been popular.
After securing Rouse's visit, Messner attended an in-person event with Rouse as guest author.
“He is funny,” Messner said. “He has you laughing one moment and crying the next. He is honest. He's a good person with a good story.”
The virtual-author visit is one of the library’s summer programs.
Registration is open for summer reading for all ages, through June 13.
