Constantine teams take care of Parchment

The Constantine track teams swept Parchment on Wednesday evening.

The boys piled up a 123-14 victory, the Lady Falcons won 80-43.

Constantine won 15 events for the boys.

Bennett Vandenberg claimed first place in the discus throw at 138-4 feet. Winning the shot put was Brandon Long, he posted a distance of 39-6 feet.

Rushawn James won both the long jump at 18-6.75 feet and the 300 hurdles at 44.20 seconds.

First place in the 100 dash went to Charles Morris. His time was 12.15 seconds. Collin Featherstone won the 200 dash, posting a time of 24.47 seconds.

In the 400, Julian Hawthorne ran to first place with a time of 52.68 seconds.

Picking up a victory in the two-mile run was Ethan Glick. He ran a time of 11:19.82 to claim first.

Michael Featherstone’s time of 19.04 seconds won him the 110 hurdles.

The Falcons swept all four relay events. Winning the 400 relay was the team of Brayden Clark, Brody Jones, Michael Featherstone and VandenBerg. That team ran a time of 48.21 seconds. Winning the 800 was the Falcon foursome of James, Morris, Donovan Miller and Dean Topolski at 1:36.17. In the mile relay, the Constantine squad of Topolski, Clark, Jorge Rubio and Logan Patmalnieks posted a time of 3:47.92 to claim first. Constantine’s two-mile relay team of Hawthorne, Patmalnieks, Robbie King and Ryan Manes came in with a winning time of 9:13.59.

Rubio and Manes tied in the high jump, each clearing 5-00.25 feet. Jones won the pole vault at 11-00 feet.

Clark’s time of 12.26 seconds was good for second in the 100 dash. Morris ran to second in the 200 at 24.60 seconds while Collin Featherstone was second in the 400 at 55.18 seconds, Erric Oldenburg came in third for that race at 1:01.08.

Topolski’s time in the 800 was 2:09.43, good for second. In third was Patmalnieks at 2:22.08.

Glick ran to second place in the mile, he posted a time of 4:55.12. King came in third at 5:05.24.

King finished second in the two-mile run (11:22.36) while Alessandro Avila came in third at 11:53.39.

Justin Hendrix ran to second place in the 110 hurdles at 20.01 seconds. Michael Featherstone was second in the 300 hurdles at 45.34 seconds, Hendrix came in third for that race at 46.33 seconds.

Isaac Moore and Patmalnieks tied for third in the high jump, they each cleared 5-0 feet.

Collin Featherstone was second in the pole vault at 10-6 feet, Michael Featherstone was third at 10-00 feet. In long jump action, Hawthorne finished second overall at 18-4 feet, Hendrix finished third at 17-8.5 feet.

Canon Manley was second in the shot put at 39-5 feet, VandenBerg finished third at 39-4 feet.

Long’s distance in the discus was 113-00 feet, good for second.

The Constantine girls won 13 events on the day.

Alizza Schieber won both throwing events. She posted a distance of 105-8 feet in the discus and 33-7 feet in the shot put.

Caterina Thelen won a pair of field events as well. She finished with a distance of 13-9.25 feet to win the long jump and 6-00 feet to win the pole vault.

Kailee Jones won the high jump, clearing 4-00 feet. She also ran to first place in the 800 run at 2:39.77.

Abigail Flores ran to first place in the 100 dash, her time was 14.07 seconds. Winning the 200 dash was Jaedyn Herlein at 29.94 seconds. Herlein also won the 100 hurdles at 18.03 seconds.

Emma Schnepp ran to first place in the two-mile run at 15:58.02.

Lily Russell’s time in the 300 hurdles was 1:06.38, good for first place.

Constantine won two relays. The team of Herlein, Alivia Hall, Jones and Flores ran a time of 2:01.70 to win the 800 relay. The team of McKenzie Schleben, Seaira Mischka, Kylee Weinberg and Jasmine Hanft placed first in the mile relay at 5:23.63.

Thelen was second in both throwing events. Her distance was 31-9 feet in the shot put and 100-11 feet in the discus throw.

Russell ran to second place in the 100 hurdles at 24.13 seconds, Weinberg finished second in the 300 hurdles at 1:13.04.

Hall ran to third in the 100 at 15.07 seconds, Weinberg was third in the 200 dash at 33.36 seconds and Schleben was third in the 400 at 1:18.38.
