Constantine, Three Rivers soccer teams earn victories

The Constantine soccer team beat Niles-Brandywine with a 4-0 score on Friday.

“Great home win,” Constantine coach Cheri Borkholder said. The win for Constantine was the second in a row. The Falcons are now 2-4-1.

Ally Platz made saves on all four shots for Brandywine in the game. One of those saves came on a penalty kick.

Constantine got on the board early in the contest. Jasmine Six scored at the 11:34 mark of the opening half, it proved to be the game-winner.

Lilly Hofmeister scored 17 minutes later, this came at the 28:39 mark. Amaya Walker had the assist on this tally.

Walker then scored her own goal a couple of minutes later, making the score 3-0. That was also the score at halftime.

In the second half, there was one goal scored. It came from Ryleigh Bacheller in the 57th minute.

Three Rivers wins 

Three Rivers beat Berrien Springs 6-0 in prep soccer action on Friday.

Tori Thorbjornsen scored four goals to lead Three Rivers to the win. Both Paige McDonald and Summer Morrill scored a goal as well for the Cats. McDonald assisted on three of the goals, Morrill assisted on two.

Amaria Currier made four saves for the shutout win.

Three Rivers improved to 4-1 with the victory.
