Construction starts on 332 apartments on Las Soleras Drive

Jan. 2—Tampa Bay-based DeBartolo Development in November broke ground on the 332-unit Arcadia apartments on 17 acres at 5300 Las Soleras Drive.

Arcadia is the third Santa Fe apartment project to start construction in the past year or two with more than 300 units. Together with the 355-unit Madera multifamily housing project off N.M. 599 near South Meadows and the 330-unit Solwyn apartments at 5201 Beckner Road, this trio will be the three largest apartment complexes in Santa Fe.

DeBartolo Development is owned by former San Francisco 49ers football team owner Edward "Eddie" DeBartolo Jr.

Arcadia will have a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom units in 15 buildings along with 32 townhomes. The units will have open-concept floor plans, stainless steel appliances, luxury plank flooring, walk-in closets, full-size washers and dryers and garage parking, DeBartolo announced in a news release.

Completion of the first units is expected in spring 2024.
