Construction underway on Town Center expansion in Suwanee
Construction is underway on the new expansion of Town Center in Suwanee.
Crews have been working on a 25-acre site behind the public library at the corner of Suwanee Dam Road and Main Street.
The project plans to connect to the existing Town Center with a pedestrian tunnel under the railroad tracks.

City leaders say the new site will open up about 10 acres for an urban-style greenspace.
Another 15 acres will remain wooded with access to the Brushy Creek Greenway.
The Suwanee City Council unanimously approved a master plan for a future city park in 2016.
