Water service will continue on the existing line until the replacement is completed, the spokesperson said. Construction is expected to take approximately 90 to 120 days.

The city council approved a contract with Coate Construction LLC to complete the 2,500 feet of water main replacement following excessive pipe breakages caused due to age and condition, the spokesperson with the city of Englewood said.

The new water main will be designed to provide improved reliability, domestic service and fire protection with additional fire hydrants, the spokesperson said. Your water meter will be relocated from inside of the house to under the curb or sidewalk on the south side of Wenger Rd.

“Any concrete damage will be replaced at the City’s expense. No project costs or assessments will be assigned to the property owners,” the spokesperson said in the social media post.
