Controlled burn planned west of Four Corners area Friday

Feb. 26—Forestry crews will conduct another controlled burn in the Ashland Watershed west of the Four Corners area Friday, according to a news release.

The burn is the latest effort to reduce excess fuels in the watershed, intended to mitigate wildfire risk.

There are no road or trail closures planned, but heavy smoke will be in the area, especially along a stretch of U.S. Forest Service Road 2080, which is adjacent to the burn piles.
