Conway won Charlevoix Township with 197 votes compared to Potter Browe's 170 and the City of Charlevoix with 331 votes compared to Potter Browe's 184.

"Thank you for your support during the primary campaign," Conway wrote to the Courier on Wednesday. "Between now and November I will be diligently researching solutions to bring workforce housing to Charlevoix County."

There were no Democratic primary candidates for the position, so Conway will run unopposed in the November general election.

Joshua Chamberlain was the victor against incumbent Robert Draves to represent East Jordan and South Arm Township in District 4.
