It's cookie season! Here's your guide to Girl Scout cookies in the Coastal Bend.
Tuesday marked the beginning of a nationwide treasure — Girl Scout cookie season.
Girl Scouts of the USA kicked off the new year with troops rallying their communities to support the world's largest entrepreneurial program for girls.
Aside from teaching enterprising skills, the nonprofit cookie program funds experiences for troops including service projects, travel and summer camps.
Here's your guide to scoring some Girl Scout cookies this year.
What are the flavors for 2023?
A new flavor is joining the lineup of classics this year.
Raspberry Rally: These new thin cookies are crispy, infused with raspberry flavor and dipped in a chocolate coat.
Adventurefuls: The brownie-inspired cookie is topped with caramel flavored crème with a hint of sea salt.
Caramel Chocolate Chips: These gluten-free, chewy cookies have rich caramel, semisweet chocolate chips and a hint of sea salt.
Caramel deLites: The crispy cookie has caramel, coconut and chocolate stripes.
Lemonades: The savory shortbread cookie is topped with a tangy lemon-flavored icing.
Peanut Butter Patties: The crispy cookie is layered with peanut butter and covered with a chocolate coat.
Peanut Butter Sandwich: These crunchy oatmeal sandwich cookies come with a peanut butter filling.
Thin Mints: These crispy, chocolate cookies are dipped in a mint chocolate coating.
Toast-Yay!: Shaped as toast, the cookie is full of French toast flavor and dipped in icing.
Trefoils: The iconic shortbread cookie is inspired by the original Girl Scout cookie recipe.
All 10 flavors are kosher and halal. Vegan options include Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Patties, Lemonades and Toast-Yay! cookies.
When do cookies go on sale?
The Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas, the Coastal Bend's region, have begun selling cookies already.
You can purchase cookies until Sunday, Feb. 26.
How much do cookies cost?
The Adventurefuls, Caramel deLites, Lemonades, Peanut Butter Patties, Peanut Butter Sandwich, Thin-Mints, Toast-Yay! and Trefoils cookies are $5 a box. The Caramel Chocolate Chips cookies are $6.
The new Raspberry Rally cookies are available to purchase online only at girlscouts.org.
Where can I purchase cookies in the Coastal Bend?
Visit girlscouts-swtx.org/en/cookies/find-cookies.html to find the nearest location of Girl Scouts selling cookies. Some locations include Chuy's in Corpus Christi, Lowes Home Improvement in Aransas Pass and the Aztec Coffee Shop in Ingleside.
