Cookies, cobbler and cocktails: Here are 5 new restaurants coming to Acadiana

Acadiana is a hub for serious foodies and businesses are taking notice. Eighteen restaurants either opened for the first time or expanded in April and 13 in March. Here are five new restaurants coming to Acadiana in 2022.

Lucky's Fire and Smoke

Offering an upscale grilled dining experience, Lucky's Fire and Smoke announced a Lafayette location in April. The brand has a Detroit location that open in 2019 and received high praise upon opening. The restaurant will serve high quality beef, seafood and specialty cocktails according to their Facebook.  Lucky's Fire and Smoke is accepting reservations for a soft open now. They are located at 6774 Johnston Street in Lafayette, the former Zuhause.

Coterie Restaurant and Oyster bar

A popular New Orleans eatery is coming to Acadiana soon. Coterie announced they will expand to Broussard at the corner of South Bernard Road and Ambassador Caffery Parkway. The restaurant has a two-story design with a sky bar on the top floor and plenty of outdoor seating. This restaurant is still in the early phases of construction with no dates announced for opening.

PJ's Coffee of New Orleans

Coffee lovers unite! Another popular NOLA brand is expanding with three new locations. PJ's Coffee will open two locations in Lafayette one at 4480 Johnston Street and another at 1501 W Pinhook Road. They will also open a location in Scott at 809 Apollo Road. The Johnston Street location will only offer drive-thru service. If you want to give them a try there are two locations open in Acadiana. The Cobbler House

This Abbeville dessert house is expanding to Youngsville this year. Owned by Grammy nominee and Dove award winning singer Koryn Hawthorne, The Cobbler House serves a variety of waffles, cinnamon rolls, fried Oreos and cobblers. The original location opened last June to much success. They are located at 106 Broadmoor Blvd. in Abbeville.

Crumbl Cookie

The popular Utah cookie brand is finally landing in Acadiana. They announced the expansion back in March making this the fourth Crumbl Cookie in the state. The location of the bakery is 4313 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy, Suite 10. They will open this summer. A second location has been rumored but no formal announcement has come yet.
