The ‘Coolest Thing Made in PA’ contest is headed to the championship round Monday

It all comes down to this.

Mrs. T’s pierogies will take on the Primanti Bros. sandwich for the title of “Coolest Thing Made in PA” in the championship round.

Voting runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday on the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry’s Twitter page. The winner will be announced before the start of the NCAA men’s basketball championship game.

The single-elimination bracket contest, in its first year, launched in March with 32 products.

“From the steel that built our nation’s cities, to the food that feeds our families, and the cutting-edge technology driving today’s and tomorrow’s innovation — Pennsylvania makes it all,” Chamber President and CEO Luke Bernstein said when the contest began.

“This competition celebrates the commonwealth’s storied history and continued leadership in manufacturing, and spotlights the amazing companies who are making incredible things right here in Pennsylvania. We can’t wait to see who comes out on top and look forward to growing this competition in the years to come.”

More than 30,000 Pennsylvanians had voted heading into the semifinals, which pitted Mrs. T’s against Yuengling lager on one side of the bracket, and Primanti Bros. against the Sheetz MTO on the other.

The winning company gets bragging rights, plus recognition at the chamber’s next Economic Forecast and Business Leadership Summit.
