Cooper basketball star Whitney Lind commits to Lehigh

Whitney Lind, a member of Cooper High School's Class of 2023 and one of Northern Kentucky's top players, has committed to play basketball for Lehigh University, an NCAA Division I school in the Patriot League.

She announced the decision on Tuesday morning.

Lind, a 6-feet-2-inch forward, led Cooper with 17 points and 6.4 rebounds in helping the Jaguars win the Ninth Region for the first time in team history. Cooper finished 25-10 and lost to eventual state champion Sacred Heart in the state semifinals.

Lind was named second team all-state by the Louisville Courier-Journal and first team All-Ninth Region. She played in the Kentucky vs. Indiana junior game in June.

Lehigh, located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, finished 19-11 last year and 11-7 in the Patriot League.
