GIRLS BASKETBALL

Copley 62, Tallmadge 36

Shelby Emich made six 3-pointers and scored 22 points to lead visiting Copley to a victory on Saturday afternoon.

Victoria McKnight contributed nine points for Copley and Emily Kerekes had eight points.

Tallmadge's leading scorers were Maya Dexter with 20 points and Lexi Gray with six points..

Barberton 32, Cuyahoga Falls 31

Kya Witwer hit a clutch 3-pointer and An'Taniyha Easter converted a layup with 10 seconds left to help the Magics escape with a thrilling win.

Laney Kaisk tallied nine points and nine rebounds for Barberton and Easter finished with 13 points. Mackenzie Kramer led Cuyahoga Falls with nine points.

Revere 50, Kent Roosevelt 36

Host Revere outscored Kent 26-9 in the fourth quarter to record a win. Jeanne Hujer led Revere with 22 points, Paige Kelley scored 13 points and Audrey Livesay and Mallory Tompkins scored six points apiece.

Stow 60, Twinsburg 18

Kristin Chmielewski scored 18 points to lead Stow (5-0, 2-0 Suburban League National Conference) to a win. Emily Ervin dropped in 10 points, and Anna Hurst and Katelyn Croyle scored six points apiece for the Bulldogs.

Archbishop Hoban 77, Gates Mills Gilmour Academy 46

Senior Lanae Riley had 23 points and 12 rebounds to lead the host Knights (4-0).

Hoban sophomore Izzy Callaway (12 points), junior Emma Rasmussen (10 points) and sophomores Erica King (nine points) and Adrena Gordon (six points) also played key roles in the victory.

St. Vincent-St. Mary 66, Fairfax (California) 17

Junior Dyllan Metcalf scored 14 points and senior Annie Watson scored 10 points to lead STVM to a win in The Chosen-1's Invitational at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Irish sophomore Chenoa Moss contributed eight points, senior Cameron Jones had seven points, sophomore KaMiah Pryor chipped in six points and freshman Kendal Batchik and senior Jenna Bycznski each had five points.

North Canton Hoover 52, Jackson 49

Angela Roshak scored 15 points, Grace Craig scored 13 points and the Vikings (5-0, 2-0) remained undefeated with a Federal League victory.

Janet Eriksen tacked on 10 points for Hoover (5-0, 2-0). Emma Dretke scored 18 points to pace Jackson, Megan Campbell scored 13 points and Lauren Pallotta had 12 points.

Highland 55, Aurora 36

Maddie Miller made four 3-pointers and scored 24 points to lead the visiting Hornets (5-0, 2-0 Suburban League American Conference) to a win. Kennedy Morgan scored 16 points for Highland and Ava Ryncarz paced Aurora with 21 points.

Northwest 32, Tuslaw 28

Ashley Cudnik scored 12 points, and Carly Spradling and Lily Bottomley both scored eight points to lead host Northwest (5-0).

Berlin Hiland 51, CVCA 44

Gia Casalinova poured in 24 points to keep the Royals in it before falling to the visiting Hawks (3-1). Casalinova made eight field goals and eight free throws.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Manchester 58, Revere 52

Junior Daniel Sensius scored 20 points, senior Ben Noirot had 13 points and 12 rebounds and senior Kenton Duty added 12 points to lead the host Panthers (2-1).

Baron Bania made five 3-pointers and scored 15 points for the Minutemen (1-1) and Greg Cochran chipped in 14 points.

Sierra Canyon (California) 71, St. Vincent-St. Mary 53

Junior LeBron James Jr. scored 19 points to lead Sierra Canyon past his father's alma mater in The Chosen-1's Invitational at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

"Felt special, playing in the same gym as he plays in," James Jr. told the Los Angeles Times after the game.

James made three 3-pointers in front of a crowd that included his father and his Lakers teammates Carmelo Anthony, Russell Westbrook and Rajon Rondo and Phoenix Suns guard Chris Paul.

Sierra Canyon's Shy Odom contributed 17 points and 13 rebounds, Kijani Wright scored 15 points and Ramel Lloyd had 13 points.
