An irate straphanger cruelly punched a 2-year-old boy in the head after his mom told the callous commuter to step back and observe social distancing, police said.

Cops on Tuesday released photos of the attacker, who clobbered the young boy on an uptown C train entering the 116th St. subway station in Harlem at about 3 p.m. Saturday.

The victim’s mom told the suspect to give her some space. Instead, the attacker stomped on the mother’s foot, and punched the 2-year-old boy several times in the face, cops said.

Medics took the boy to My. Sinai Morningside Hospital for treatment. The attacker ran off.

Cops ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
