For the seventh time this year, there has been a head coaching change at a Big Bend football program.

Gadsden County head coach Corey Fuller announced his resignation from the program Thursday afternoon.

The announcement was made public in a 10-minute video posted to Facebook by associate head coach Devin Rispress.

Fuller was filmed addressing the team on Gadsden County's football field. Fuller has accepted an off-field position at his alma mater with the Florida State football program, where he will serve as the Seminoles' director of football relations.

FSU announced Fuller's hiring Friday morning.

"I don't want you all to think that when I leave that the program won't be safe," Fuller said to his team in the video. "These guys behind me are prepared to take you all to the next level. This team is coming back this year and has a chance to go to the final four."

Post-NFL playing career, Fuller returned to the Big Bend as an assistant coach at Rickards before taking a head coaching position at East Gadsden. He then moved on to the college football scene and became a defensive backs coach at Florida A&M before being named the interim head coach in 2014.

In 2017, Fuller returned to high school football, becoming Godby's head coach for two seasons. In 2019, Fuller announced his return to Gadsden County for a second coaching stint. In his time on the high school coaching scene, Fuller led the Jaguars to multiple state semifinals appearances and two program turnarounds.

In 2016, after a 7-on-7 tournament, Fuller took his team to Orange Avenue Apartments, where he grew up, and gave an impassioned speech in the pouring rain which ended up going viral. The speech was featured on platforms such as SportsCenter and is still shared to this day.
