Film star Tim Roth and his family are mourning the loss of youngest son Cormac Roth, who died in mid-October at age 25 after going public with his cancer diagnosis nearly a year earlier.

The musician’s death on Oct. 16 was announced Monday by his family, who remember him as an “irrepressible and joyful and wild and wonderful child.”

“The grief comes in waves, as do the tears and laughter, when we think of that beautiful boy across the 25 years and 10 months that we knew him,” the Roth family said.

“We love him. We will carry him with us wherever we go,” continued his family members, who say they were with him when he died.

Cormac shared his Stage 3 germ cell cancer diagnosis last November, writing on Instagram that he’d undergone chemotherapy, transplants, transfusions and surgeries, and lost 60 pounds and half of his hearing.

“But it hasn’t taken away my will to survive, or my love of making music. It hasn’t taken me down yet,” wrote the artist, who played guitar and wrote and produced music.

Cormac was one of three sons for Tim Roth, whose movies include the Quentin Tarantino-directed films “Reservoir Dogs,” “Pulp Fiction” and “The Hateful Eight,” and who won a British Academy of Film and Television Arts Award for 1995′s “Rob Roy.”

The English-born actor is known as well for his portrayal of supervillain Emil Blonsky in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s movies and shows, most recently reprising the role on this year’s “She-Hulk” series.
