Cornerback help is on the way for Vikings in The Athletic’s latest mock draft
Throughout the early portion of this offseason, there have been many different players mocked to the Minnesota Vikings by various experts. On Monday, Nick Baumgardner of The Athletic released a new mock draft that had the Vikings selecting South Carolina cornerback Cam Smith.
This would be a steal for Minnesota down here, to be frank. Cam Smith is a long and physical corner, and he would absolutely fill a need on the back end for Minnesota. Even if Smith’s gone, though, this feels like a good place for the Vikings to find CB value, especially if guys start falling.
Smith has been a popular choice by many experts for the Vikings this offseason, and he’d help fill a huge need as the Vikings only have three corners under contract for next season. As more mock drafts continue to come out, we’ll continue to keep you updated here at Vikings Wire.
