Coronado's Owen Levesque was named to the 2022 Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Whataburger Super Team as a punter, the only player from El Paso named to the team.

Levesque, who is a junior, averaged nearly 47 yards a punt, placed five punts inside the 20 and his longest punt of the year was 67 yards against Chapin.

Levesque also plays quarterback for the Thunderbirds and made 21 of 24 extra point attempts and six field goals.

"It's good for all of El Paso when a player gets recognized like this," Coronado coach Mike Pry said. "Owen works hard, he's a great kid and great athlete. He always wants to work hard and he's in track and field right now and he'll do great things in various events."
