Coronation Street, The Crown and Love Island stars join Cooking with the Stars

ITV1's Cooking with the Stars has signed up celebrities from Coronation Street, The Crown and Love Island for its second series.

Hosts Emma Willis and Tom Allen's cooking competition will be back on screens very soon, and that means a new crop of famous faces will be entering the kitchen.

The six-part series pits celebrities against each other in Cooking Battles where their dishes are judged against one another, followed by a Cook Off where the losers of the Battles have to fight for their spot by preparing a meal they've never seen before.

The celebrities will be paired with a professional chef who will (hopefully) guide them to success in each round.

Cooking with the Stars' series two cast features:

  • Jason Watkins, actor from The Crown

  • Chris Eubank, boxing legend

  • Samia Longchambon, actress from Coronation Street

  • Claire Richards, singer from Steps

  • Peter Andre, singer and TV personality

  • Indiyah Polack, reality star from Love Island

Ahead of these episodes airing, Matt Willis has already claimed to be the chef at home.

"I tend to cook more than Emma, it’s just ended up that way," he said. "I don’t mind doing it and Emma is quite particular so it usually takes longer. I’m not a massive fan of cleaning up so usually there’s a kind of rule that if you cook, you don’t clean up but that rule isn’t always obeyed and sometimes I end up doing both!"

Emma said of this year's contestants: "Filming Cooking with the Stars is always a highlight for me as not only do Tom and I have lots of fun but we also get to try some phenomenal food. We have a great cast this season, who will no doubt be feeling the pressure as they head into the kitchen. We've seen blood, sweat and tears on previous series and I'm sure this series will be no exception!”

Cooking with the Stars will return on Tuesday July 4 at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
