Coronation Street fuels fears that Tim Metcalfe could become Stephen Reid's fourth victim in next week's episodes.

Animosity grows between the two men as Tim steps up his efforts to keep Stephen away from his mum Elaine Jones.

Stephen accidentally proposed to Elaine while high on LSD a few weeks ago. When Tim finds out about the engagement this week, he ominously declares that he'd rather die than see Elaine marry Stephen.

Next week, Elaine defies Tim's disapproval and decides to tie the knot with Stephen as quickly as possible.

Elaine makes plans to fly out to Las Vegas that afternoon and get married there.

Tim's wife Sally is the first to find out, so she shares the news with the worried cabbie.

Tim changes tactics by offering Elaine and Stephen a lift to the airport, making out that he's now supporting their marriage plans.

The unlikely schemer manages to lure Elaine into his taxi, but his true intentions become clear as he leaves Stephen on the doorstep and speeds off.

Later in the week, Stephen promises Elaine that they can re-book their tickets to Las Vegas after Tim ruined their first attempt.

With Tim completely unaware of how dangerous Stephen is, has he made a big mistake by standing in the way of the villain's plans?

Stephen claimed his first victim last year when he accidentally pushed Leo Thompkins to his death from the factory balcony. He later killed Leo's dad Teddy to cover up the first crime.

More recently, Stephen drowned Rufus Donahue in response to blackmail threats from his business rival.

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
