Asha hoodwinks Corey
The soap’s younger actors are given its veterans a run for their money at the money, with Tanisha Gorey (aka Asha) and Maximus Evans (who plays Corey) carrying particularly weighty scenes.
And the pair will remain in the spotlight for the foreseeable future, what with Asha continuing to make out that she’s missing Corey. He suggests that they spend the afternoon together in the empty flat, but a quick-thinking Asha assures him that while she hopes they can one day be reunited, it’s best that they remain mates for the meanwhile. But will Corey be convinced?
Jenny is on to Sharon
When Johnny tells Jenny that he has no knowledge of this prison mentoring scheme that Sharon claims to be a part of, the Rovers landlady decides to do some digging.
After asking Gary to find out what he can, the link between Sharon and Harvey is soon uncovered. But even though this discovery is incendiary, there’s a chance that Jenny might not act on the info. The reason? Well, Sharon has clocked the chemistry between Jenny and Ronnie – and might be tempted to blab should secrets be spilled.
Cash flow problem for Tyrone
Tyrone has a problem of his own making when he forks out for new shoes for the girls as well as expensive new coffee cups for the flat.
Evelyn points out that he now has two houses to run and that fancy crockery is a luxury. But rather than reorder his priorities, Ty instead decides to take on more work and ends up doing deliveries for Dev. Let’s hope he doesn’t find himself cut to ribbons on Evelyn’s barbed comments about his lifestyle.
Meet Curtis – Emma’s new love interest
Unlucky-in-love Emma Brooker’s relationships on the Street have, thus far, fizzled out. But her luck may be about to improve when she meets a good-looking guy called Curtis, who helps her out with some unwieldy beer barrels before announcing that he’s going for a job at the Bistro.
The trouble is, Curtis also happens to be the “hooligan” who knocked Emma’s dad Steve off his bike at a recent charity fundraiser, causing him to come last. So, will Steve now want to put the brakes on his daughter’s new romance?
