Imran's past becomes his present when his ex-wife Sabeen arrives in Weatherfield with big news – she'll be acting as a barrister on Corey's defence team in Seb's murder trial. Smug Sabeen informs Imran that he doesn't stand a chance of securing his foster daughter's acquittal.

It seems things are shifting in Corey's favour when Abi learns that local footballing legend Tommy Orpington is being lined up to act as a character witness.

The news leaves Jack troubled, and unable to stay silent, the naïve lad posts about his feelings on an online fan site dedicated to Tommy. However, his actions may have serious repercussions when Corey's identity is leaked, throwing the trial into jeopardy.

When the police arrive on the Street to talk to Jack, Abi accuses Imran of using the youngster's mistake to delay the trial for Kelly's sake. And Toyah is shocked when her partner admits that's exactly what he's doing, vowing to stop at nothing to clear Kelly's name.

As the pre-trial review gets under way, Imran declares that he has fresh evidence about the blood splatters found on Kelly's trainers, but is soon left conflicted when she and Corey are offered a reduced sentence if they plead guilty to manslaughter.

While Imran has a decision to make, Simon pays Kelly a visit and finds her in a terrible state. Fearing his friend could go down for a crime he believes she didn't commit, Simon pleads with Nina to try and remember what happened that fateful night, insisting that she's Kelly's only hope of avoiding life behind bars.

The next morning, Liv wakes up in a state of confusion, with bruises on her arm and no memory of what happened to her the night before. Aaron fills in a blank by explaining that he found her slumped in a doorway, but as Liv starts experiencing disturbing flashbacks, she realises to her horror that she was involved in a violent tussle with Noah.

Gabby is reeling when Liv recalls what she can remember, and feeling uneasy after her own run-ins with Charity's son, she warns her friend they might be dealing with the aftermath of rape.

As Liv fears the worst, Aaron overhears the girls' conversation and storms off to confront Noah. Later, he urges his sister to report what happened to the police – but is Noah really capable of such a sickening attack?

With their relationship on the right track, Justin wants to move back into the Morgan house, but Leah's not quite ready to take that step. The couple agree on a compromise – that Justin will stay in the cottage in the backyard – but trouble is brewing as Leah has got hold of the bag of money Susie stole from them and hides it from her other half.

Eventually she owns up to Justin, but while Leah wants to keep quiet and use the cash to purchase another house, Justin issues her an ultimatum – either she gives it to the police, or he will.

Later, they finally reach an agreement over what to do and after calling new copper Cash to the house, they hand over the money along with Stephen's laptop. Cash informs Leah she'll be arrested and charged, but soon finds himself unable to go through with it.
