As the day of Imran's funeral arrives, suspicions are mounting over Toyah's involvement in his death. During the service, Toyah delivers a heartfelt eulogy, saying she wishes Imran had survived the crash instead of her, while a sceptical Adam and Alya look on.

Toyah decides to take matters into her own hands and returns to the police station to tell DS Swain they need to talk. Leanne vows to stand by her sister, however, the distraught widow insists she didn't intend to kill Imran or herself and won't lie to that effect.

Although deeply shocked, the lad wishes Kevin and Abi well as they head off for Alfie's custody hearing.

After a tense hearing, the judge rules Abi will be placed with her son in a mother and baby facility, and is introduced by their foster carer, Wendy Papadapoulos. But when Abi mentions she's from Coronation Street, it's clear it's a place Wendy is very familiar with.
