Coronation Street's Summer defies Corey's blackmail with confession

Coronation Street's Summer Spellman will see her guilt get the better of her in upcoming scenes, as she reveals her involvement in the events that led to Corey Brent's attack on Nina Lucas and Seb Franklin.
Following the brutal attack on Nina and Seb, Corey tries his best to cover his tracks. When he threatens Summer and warns her not to share the truth with police, Summer is visibly troubled.
Clearly struggling to ignore her guilt, Summer decides to tell Todd Grimshaw that she was at the canal on the night of Nina and Seb's attack, but that she left before anything happened.

Billy Mayhew is horrified when he learns that Summer went joyriding in a stolen car with Corey and his mates, and insists to Summer that she tells the police what she knows.
Later in the week, a worried Amy Barlow reveals that she noticed someone being nasty to Summer at school, prompting her to run off. Concerned, Paul Foreman promises to look for her.
Paul soon finds a downcast Summer in Victoria Garden, where she tells him that she feels partly to blame for the attack as she could have made Kelly Neelan leave with her when she fled the canal before the attack.

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, May 10, Wednesday, May 12 and Friday, May 14 from 7.30pm on ITV.
