Coronation Street villain Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) is set to cause havoc on Weatherfield's cobbles once again soon.

Since his return to the street in 2022, Stephen has schemed his way to popularity and dispatched anyone who stood in his way, including love rival Leo and his father Teddy, as well as business associate Rufus. So, who is next?

Speaking on This Morning (May 30) to soap expert Sharon Marshall he revealed that the list is growing.

Sharon asked who was next on Stephen's radar, with Todd ominously replying: "A few people are getting on my wick."

Sharon said she would be keeping tabs on the serial killer during the interview in case he let slip who was next.

Fans of the show will know that Stephen is plotting to kill his fiancée Elaine Jones and has started taking out a life insurance policy now he has discovered that she has the same heart condition that killed her late mother.

He was joined on the morning TV show by Coronation Street's Channique Sterling-Brown (who plays Dee-Dee), Tina O'Brien (Sarah Barlow) and Elle Mulvaney (Amy Barlow), and he assured viewers that no-one sat with him on the show would be next.

Channique was quick to chime in: "Todd is like the nicest member of the cast, though."

Sharon replied: "I do keep hearing that. Maybe you said that so he won't kill you."

The soap actor also commented on how members of the public react to him when out and about: "I was in IKEA a couple of weeks ago, and I got in a lift; they are huge lifts, they fit about 20 people, it was all very silent, and then someone at the back of the lift said: 'You won't get away with this'."

Although he describes the character's plot as very "dark" and "heavy", the soap star said it was "thrilling" to play Stephen.

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
