FAIRFIELD, CT — Two people at Fairfield Ludlowe High School and one person at Tomlinson Middle School have tested positive for the coronavirus, according to officials.
Officials notified the school community of the confirmed cases on Monday.
Both people who tested positive for the virus at Fairfield Ludlowe were already in quarantine, according to officials.
“There is no need for anyone else at FLHS to self-quarantine and school will remain open,” according to a message, attributed to Superintendent Mike Cummings and COVID-19 Health and Safety Compliance Liaison Angelus Papageorge. “If there was a need for anyone to self-quarantine, they would be contacted directly by a member of the Fairfield Health Department Contact Tracing Team.”
Regarding the confirmed COVID-19 case at Tomlinson, Cummings and Papageorge said there “is no need for anyone else at TMS to self-quarantine and school will remain open.”
