New Coronavirus Cases Confirmed At Stratford Schools

STRATFORD, CT — Two people associated with the Stratford Public School district have tested positive for the coronavirus, according to officials.

Superintendent of Schools Janet Robinson notified families Monday of two confirmed cases of COVID-19 associated with Bunnell High School and Wooster Middle School.

A member of the Bunnell community has tested positive for the coronavirus. The person was last in the school on Monday, Oct. 12 and they have been instructed to remain home in self-isolation for 10 days, according to Robinson.

Anyone who is considered a “close contact” with the person has been contacted or will be contacted by school or local health officials and “provided with instructions on the appropriate steps to take regarding quarantine and when to return to school,” according to Robinson.

Robinson also notified families that a member of the Wooster Middle School community has tested positive for the coronavirus. The person was last in the school on Friday, Oct. 9 and they have been instructed to remain home in self-isolation for 10 days.

Anyone considered a close contact of the person has been notified by officials and given instructions on what steps to take.
