🌱 Coronavirus Cases In Jefferson County + Missing Child Found

Up and at 'em, Birmingham! It's Wednesday, so let's get you started with everything you need to know going on today in Birmingham. We are approaching two years of the coronavirus pandemic, and recent numbers show that cases of the virus are down in Jefferson County, as well, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration is close to approving the COVID-19 pill, which will treat symptoms of the virus.   1. The Centers for Disease Control says coronavirus cases in Jefferson County are down compared to last month. The omicron variant has not hit Alabama, so this is good news if another wave is coming. (Birmingham Patch)
