Coronavirus In DuPage County: 346 Cases, 10 Deaths Confirmed

DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — As of early Tuesday morning, DuPage County reports 346 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus and 10 deaths. County officials say the number of positive cases is "likely much higher" due to cases that are "unreported or untested."

The county's new system of reporting shows confirmed coronavirus cases in age groups from 0 through 9 years old to 80 and older.

The breakdown of cases by municipality in DuPage County is as follows:

  • Bloomingdale: 8

  • Burr Ridge: 7

  • Carol Stream: 14

  • Clarendon Hills: 5

  • Darien: 15

  • Downers Grove: 14

  • Elmhurst: 17

  • Glen Ellyn: 10

  • Glendale Heights: 12

  • Hanover Park: 1

  • Hinsdale: 6

  • Itasca: 3

  • Lemont: 1

  • Lisle: 8

  • Lombard: 20

According to the county's breakdown, the majority of cases have affected those between the ages of 40 and 70, but all age ranges had confirmed cases:

  • 0-9 years old: 1

  • 10-19 years old: 4

  • 20-29 years old: 41

  • 30-39 years old: 40

  • 40-49 years old: 66

  • 50-59 years old: 52

  • 60-69 years old: 64

  • 70-79 years old: 34

  • 80 years old and older: 44

DuPage County reported its first confirmed case of coronavirus in mid-March.
