Coronavirus Hospitalizations Continue To Climb In Connecticut

CONNECTICUT — Coronavirus-related hospitalizations in the state continue to climb, according to the latest numbers from the Department of Public Health. The number of COVID-19 patients increased by 16 beds on Tuesday, which brought the total to 188 currently hospitalized, the most the state has had since June. Four more residents were reported dead from the virus.

The biggest jump in infections reported overnight was in Hartford, with 21 new cases reported. The case rate in the state capital is now 2,982 per 100,000.

Here are the overall numbers since the pandemic began in March. There have been 61,861 cases and 4,537 deaths reported.
