LEANDER, TX — The City of Leander began reopening public facilities on Saturday that were previously closed due to the coronavirus spread.
First up to open was Robin Bledsoe Park pool and splash pad which opened on Saturday.
On Monday, June 8, city buildings will reopen for walk-in service, and athletic fields at Benbrook Ranch Park and Robin Bledsoe Park will reopen for organized play. On Tuesday, June 9, Leander Public Library will also reopen with modified hours.
Reopening facilities include:
- Benbrook Ranch Park baseball fields (organized play only)
- Development Services
- Municipal Court
- Fire Department Administration
- Leander Public Library
- Police Department
- Robin Bledsoe Park athletic fields (organized play only)
- Robin Bledsoe Park pool and splash pad
- Utilities at City Hall
City facilities will implement additional measures in an effort to follow state and federal recommendations for exposure prevention, city officials explained. Some measures include reduced occupancy limits, contactless transaction options, social distancing guides, promotion of teleconference meetings and high-touch surface area cleaning and sanitizing.
