Coronavirus Testing Facility Opens In Coram

CORAM, NY — A new coronavirus testing site opened in Coram on Friday. The testing site is at the HRHCare Elsie Owens Health Center, at 82 Middle Country Road and was opened by Suffolk County. There will be a focus on providing those with a language barrier critical information and advice on slowing the spread of the coronavirus, in addition to testing, Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone said Thursday.

Coram has emerged as a COVID-19 hot spot on Long Island, with 601 people in the community alone testing positive as of Friday morning.

Call 845-553-8030 if you need to get tested, as tests are by appointment only.

Other Suffolk County testing spots include Riverhead, Brentwood, Huntington, Wyandanch and North Amityville. New York State operates a mobile testing facility at Stony Brook University.
