BARNSTABLE, MA — Officials with Cape Cod Healthcare announced its drive-thru coronavirus testing site at Cape Cod Community College will move to Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis. The change is effective beginning Friday.
Officials said the location transition is in anticipation of Cape Cod Community College reopening in the fall.
"Cape Cod Healthcare would like to extend its sincere gratitude to Cape Cod Community College for being an exceptional community partner during these exceptionally challenging times," a hospital spokesperson said in a statement.
A second testing facility at Falmouth Hospital, which opened on June 24, will continue to serve the upper Cape community.
Testing is available to any person on the Cape and Islands with a doctor’s order, including those with a physician not affiliated with Cape Cod Healthcare and/or not located on Cape Cod. Individuals without a primary care physician can call the dedicated call center at 508-862-5595 to be screened for testing by a clinical provider by phone.
