Coronavirus Vaccine Appointments Available Monday At 2 p.m.

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL — Miami-Dade County will release a limited number of coronavirus vaccine appointments available to seniors age 65 and older Monday at 2 p.m., according to a news release from the county.

The appointments will be available through a scheduling tool at miamidade.gov/vaccine. The website is also available in Spanish at miamidade.gov/vacuna and in Haitian Creole at miamidade.gov/vaksen.

Demand for vaccines is currently much greater than existing supply, and Miami-Dade is working to make vaccines available to the community as fast as new supplies are received, the county said.

"Our county is working hard alongside hospitals, cities and the state to distribute vaccines as fast as we receive them, to protect our community and keep our economy moving forward,” Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava said. “I'm proud that Miami-Dade County is able to help vaccinate thousands of seniors 65+ in our community.”

Vaccines are also available through the new state-run distribution site at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. For a limited time, 1,000 appointments will be available at the site each day.

To register, residents 65 and older should call 888-499-0840 after 8 a.m. daily. The site will be closed Monday because of the Alabama-Ohio State college football championship game.
