Coroner identified two bodies pulled from submerged truck in Cowan Lake Tuesday

The bodies of the two people recovered from a submerged vehicle in Cowan Lake on Tuesday have been identified, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

The Clinton County Coroner identified them as Kendrick Scott Jesionowski, 50, of Kenton, Ohio, and Lisa Lynne Reiss, 57, of Marysville.

Cowan Lake is a 700-acre lake at Cowan Lake State Park, about 50 miles north of Cincinnati in Wilmington, Ohio.

On Monday, ODNR and the Clinton County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of two missing adults and initiated a search of Cowan Lake State Park.

On Tuesday, ODNR requested assistance from a dive team after identifying the truck about 10 feet underwater.

Around 5 p.m., the bodies of the two deceased individuals were recovered from the submerged truck near the campground boat ramp.

ODNR is continuing its investigation and will release more information as it becomes available.
