Coroner identifies Evansville man killed in stabbing

EVANSVILLE – The victim in a fatal stabbing in Evansville on Friday has been identified as a 46-year-old man.

In a news release Monday morning, the Vanderburgh County Coroner's office said Enrico Marcus Rogers died of a stab wound to the head.

Evansville police found Rogers dead in a residence in the 500 block of East Michigan Street just after 3 p.m. Friday. EPD spokeswoman Sgt. Anna Gray said three people, including a person of interest, were taken to EPD headquarters for questioning, but as of Monday no one has been arrested in the killing.

"The Evansville Police Department is continuing the investigation," chief deputy coroner David Anson wrote in the Monday release.
