Corpus Christi boutique Betty & June opening new Port Aransas location in the spring

In June 2021, Jessica Jackson opened Betty & June's Corpus Christi location uncertain of the store's future in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fast-forward seven months, Jackson's boutique has seen enough success to open a second location in the Coastal Bend.

In March, Betty & June will be opening a store in Port Aransas just in time for spring break.

"I feel it was just an outpouring from our communities is what kept us going and kept us afloat," Jackson said. "I've seen just so much growth and new construction, there's just a lot of stuff going on in Port Aransas."

The new Port Aransas store will be in the Shops in Old Town at 345 Allister St.

Whether it's tops, dresses or boots, Betty & June offers its guests a chance to change their style into something unique.

The Corpus Christi native started her boutique in Abilene in 2011 after moving there with her husband, James.

The boutique's name is inspired by Jackson and her husband's grandmothers, Betty and June, who were both known for their fashionable outfits.

Jackson said her goal was always to bring her store to her hometown and eventually expand in South Texas.

"(Opening in Corpus Christi) was naturally the next thing to do," Jackson said. "However,(Port Aransas) was the kind of a place we'd go back to when I would come home. It's just a really relaxing vibe. I feel like every time we went up there we had a good time."

Shoppers can get a taste of what's to come Saturday as Betty & June will have a pop-up shop in front of the new storefront.
