Corpus Christi police investigating after body found near Koepke Street

Corpus Christi police are investigating the death of a man whose body was discovered in the Northside Thursday.

Officers were called to the 2500 block of Koepke Street for an unknown medical emergency around 12:03 p.m., CCPD senior officer Gena Pena told the Caller-Times.

When officers arrived, they found a deceased Black male, Pena said.

According to Pena, detectives are still investigating the cause of the death at this time.

"As of this time, there is no one in custody, but detectives are still following up on leads," Pena said.
