Corpus Christi Wine Festival returns with more than 60 types of vino

After four years, the Corpus Christi Wine Festival is making its way back to Heritage Park for the fifth edition on Saturday.

From 3 p.m. to midnight, the event will include a day of sipping, grape stomping, live music, a beer garden, food trucks and local vendors.

Tickets range from $30 to $200 and can be purchased at eventbrite.com.

Originally planned for November 2020, the event was rescheduled four times due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a Facebook hacking and inclement weather.

There will be 64 types of wine from around the world, including moscato, chardonnay, Chablis, riesling and pinot noir.

The festival will include special performances by Stoney LaRue, Mobley, Hill Country Revival and more.

There will also be a "Chef Showdown" where students, pro chefs and pastry chefs will compete in three rounds starting at 3:30 p.m.
