Corrie star Mikey North reveals the sex of his second child
Coronation Street star Mikey North welcomed his first child, a son named Archie, with his wife Rachael Isherwood back in 2017 – and now they are adding another member to their family.
Speaking to OK!, the Gary Windass actor revealed the couple were expecting a baby girl this time around.
"We've just moved house and put the name on the wallpaper that Rachael has chosen," the star said.
"Archie wouldn't let us call her anything else anyway, so he partly chose the name, but we're keeping it a secret."
The actor also joked about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle choosing the name Archie for their own baby boy. "When Archie was a little bit younger," Mikey said, "whenever Prince Harry came on the TV, he always said: 'There’s Daddy!'"
Who knows – maybe Mikey and Rachael's newborn can get into the acting game right away by playing one of Gemma Winter's and Chesney Brown's eight babies.
Recent paparazzi photos have shown Mikey's character Gary getting into a fight with Ryan Connor (played by Ryan Prescott), which is a shock development in Gary's descent into villainy storyline.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
