Corrie's Joel Deering to hide major secret in new scenes

Coronation Street's Joel Deering appears to be hiding a big secret in upcoming scenes, after he is confronted by a mysterious newcomer.
In scenes airing on Wednesday, February 7, Joel's girlfriend Dee-Dee Bailey complains that she is snowed under with work. In an effort to help her out, Joel offers to meet a new client on her behalf and pass on the notes to her.
Joel later meets up with Dee-Dee's client in the Bistro, but their meeting is interrupted by the arrival of newcomer Emily, who is clearly very angry.

In a panic, Joel quickly steers Emily out of the Bistro. Meanwhile, Toyah Battersby watches the commotion, intrigued by who this mystery woman could be.
What exactly is Joel hiding from Dee-Dee?
After Joel and Dee-Dee got together late last year, star Channique Sterling-Brown, who plays Dee-Dee, spoke out about some "bizarre" and inappropriate comments about the new couple's romance.

"I saw some comments about us being an interracial couple," she said. "Almost like: 'An interracial couple on the Street – God forbid.' I just thought it's so bizarre, because the relationship had nothing to do with race.
"It really is just about two people who have found each other, and are really in that loved-up, gross honeymoon phase."
Joel's potential secret isn't the only issue that Dee-Dee is having to deal with, as she has also become embroiled in her dad Ed's secret about the fire at the builders yard.
While Ed admitted that he didn't start the fire on purpose in a bid to claim on the insurance to help him with his gambling debts, he hadn't attempted to put out the fire after it started by accident.
