Coronation Street's Ryan Connor will cause concern next week, as his continued use of steroids results in him collapsing in the street.
Ryan has been struggling with his self-confidence since he received facial scarring after stepping in to protect Daisy Midgeley when she was subjected to an acid attack earlier this year. He has since started trying to boost his self-esteem by working out.
Viewers have seen Ryan start posting topless selfies to a new social media account, while he has also taken the worrying step of secretly ordering illegal steroids online.

In new scenes airing next week, Ryan enters his bedroom, holding a needle, only to find Carla Barlow in there making his bed.
Ryan quickly hides the needle in his hand and tries to keep his temper in check. However, the steroids take effect on his body and mind once Carla has left, and he punches his wardrobe in anger.
Later on, Ryan decides to take a run as he continues to push his body, but as he returns home, he starts to suffer heart palpitations and he loses his footing as his legs give way.

Gary Windass rushes to his aid in concern, urging Ryan to take deep breaths and time to recover. As he spots the energy drink that Ryan had been holding, Gary asks him whether he has taken anything else besides the drink.

It has been reported that Ryan's storyline will take a new turn in the coming weeks, as he enters the world of sex work.
After setting up an anonymous profile on a subscription service similar to OnlyFans, Ryan will escalate from sharing topless photos to creating more explicit material.
Ryan Prescott recently spoke about his character's new obsession with his body, saying that he sees bulking up as "his kind of restoration".
He explained that Ryan has "already convinced himself that he's getting back on his feet and this newfound interest in fitness is going to bring him out of his shell and give him the confidence he needs.
"It gives him something to focus on and takes his mind off all the pain he's been through and the fact he looks so different."
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
