Zanesville man charged with possession of drugs following traffic stop in Coshocton

COSHOCTON − Two people were taken into custody following a traffic stop that resulted in the recovery of drugs and money, according to the Coshocton County Sheriff's Office.

The incident occurred at 1:11 a.m. Tuesday on Ohio 93 in Lafayette Township.

Authorities said K-9 officer Rip was deployed and returned with a positive alert on the vehicle. Recovered from the vehicle upon search were a large amount of suspected narcotics, several unidentified pills and cash.

Mark A. Vohs, 44, of Zanesville, has been formally charged with aggravated possession of a controlled substance, a second-degree felony. A woman who also was taken into custody has not been charged.

The case is being reviewed by the Coshocton County Prosecutor's Office.
