Coshocton teen dies as result of traffic crash Monday on Ohio 541

COSHOCTON − The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office reported a fatal traffic crash involving a Coshocton teen at 9:42 p.m. Monday on Ohio 541, near County Road 17 in Jackson Township.

Authorities said Gavin Henry, 19, was traveling east when he drove off the right side of the road and up an embankment. The front end of the vehicle dug into the ground and overturned. Henry was partially ejected from the vehicle.

Henry was pronounced dead on scene. Assisting were Coshocton County Emergency Medical Services, Jackson Township Fire Department, REACT, Coshocton County Coroner's Office and Prince's Wrecker Service.

Coshocton woman crashes on County Road 17

The sheriff's office also reported another significant traffic crash at 10:11 a.m. Monday on County Road 17, near Ohio 541 in Jackson Township.

Authorities said it was originally reported that Cassandra Cairati, 39, of Coshocton, was pinned in the vehicle, but she extricated herself before first responders arrived.

It was determined Cairati was traveling south when she went off the west side of the road and lost control of her vehicle. She crossed the east side of the road and struck an embankment, causing the vehicle to spin 180 degrees and overturn into a ditch.

She was treated at the scene. Assisting were Coshocton County Emergency Medical Services, Jackson Township Fire Department and Prince's Wrecker Service.
